On nice sunshiny days, quite a few boys used to eat their lunch back of the school house. Angus McGregor, a frugal Scotch lad would swallow a fishworm for a nickel. When enough boys would chip in a penny we would produce the angleworm and five pennies and Angus would down the big wiggling worm, while the crowd watched. It didn't happen very often for pennies were not plentiful. Allowances were not yet invented.
