Derry is a highly politicized town, like Belfast, and it is small enough
that everyone knows everyone. People were tense and quiet the night we stayed there,
worried about the troubles and violence starting up again. There were soldiers in the streets
and a lot of the younger generation are long-haired peaceniks.
